Dear Families,
Fun Run week is a time for gathering and creating memories, with students, faculty, staff, and families, that we hope will last a lifetime. For the second year in a row, we have surpassed our goal at a rapid rate and still have two weeks to go!
This could not have been accomplished if it weren't for the generous donors and support of our Sonrise families. Through your generosity and raising, we will be able to enhance the Sonrise campus in new ways to glorify God even more than we already do.
This reminds me of the verse from Galatians 6:9, “Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap if we do not give in.” Everyone has displayed that if we are faithful to the plans God has for us, He will bless us beyond what we can ever comprehend. I never thought we would reach 50% of our goal of 100,000 in the span of two days. However, as a school community, we gathered together and displayed God’s ultimate plan for this school.
I love this verse in Galatians because it can also be applied to other aspects of our lives. In two weeks, I will become a father for the first time to a sweet baby girl. I could easily let the weight of everything around me consume me and forget what God has called me to Sonrise for. He has equipped me, “to not grow weary or discouraged in doing good”. God calls us to be examples to others and to “finish the race” and “do good”, for in doing so, “we will reap it”. Even though we have had to reschedule FUN RUN and the Carnival, I hope all of us are able to not grow weary and continue to donate these next few weeks.
Sincerely,
Mr. Crouch
