Hi Sonrise Family,
As we look forward to a day of love on Wednesday, I want to remind us to focus on God’s love for us and how that love changes how we interact with others. “We love because he first loved us.” 1 John 4:19.In fifth grade, we talk a lot about showing kindness to others whether or not we think they deserve it. We can often become stingy with our patience, love, and kindness. I think the best way we can celebrate Valentine’s Day is by showing love to those God puts in our paths- even when it’s not easy to do.
We can remember how God loved us when we were enemies of him and model that same love to the world. Even the smallest gesture of kindness can make a difference in someone's day. I hope you have a wonderful week and are reminded of how much you are loved.
