Dear Sonrise Family,
"Time flies when you are having fun" is a phrase we've all heard before, but it's another vantage for us as it relates to our own lives. I can't believe it's already the last week of school. Where did 36 weeks go? More than just this year, I am about to conclude my 12th year at Sonrise and don't know where the time went. God has filled my heart with so much through the incredibly loving and memorable experiences I've been blessed to be a part. The biggest part of those blessings is how God has added to my life through the many relationships built with students, families, staff and teachers. I can honestly say that my life is better today because of Sonrise. My hope and prayer is that you can say the same. And I continue to pray God will allow me the honor of continuing to serve Him at Sonrise for at least another 12 years.
I truly believe I am a very small part of Sonrise. Jesus is the true Head of Sonrise and makes it so easy to follow His lead. When I began I was told it was part of my job to write the opening message to the Eagle Express every week. I did so because I was expected to, but God laid greater expectations on my heart to grow others in being seen as leaders as well. So yes, I write the opening for week 1 and week 36, but in between you've been able to read messages from so many other staff and teachers and can see that God is using so many of us at Sonrise. This list includes you! Your decision to partner with us and trust us each day as your children continue to grow in the Son is the first and biggest part of our ability to prepare all children for a bright future to glorify God no matter where they go. This has been our prayer for our 8th graders as they get ready to move on and with that same breath, we ask God to begin our high school soon so we don't have to say goodbye. Please keep praying with us.
Even though we are about to embark into summer fun until the fall, please know that I am always here and available for you, no matter the need. It is my life's greatest fulfillment to serve our Father through the opportunity to care for your family. I will be on campus off and on for summer school and hope to see you and your children when God allows. I will miss you and can't wait for the first day of school, but I promise to slow down enough to enjoy the warmth of God's love through more relaxed summer days.
Love and blessings,
Mr. Patel
