Dear Sonrise Family,
I pray everyone had great time with their loved ones during Thanksgiving. This season of feels extra special as I reflect on the incredible blessing of my son, who is now almost two months old. Becoming a parent has been a journey filled with joy, awe, and gratitude. Each tiny coo, sleepy smile, and even the late-night cries remind me of God’s goodness and the gift of life. I find myself marveling at how much love a little person can bring into the world, and I’m endlessly grateful for the privilege of being his parent.
As Christmas approaches, my heart is drawn to the deeper meaning of this season. Amid the busyness of life, I’m reminded that it’s not about perfect decorations or elaborate plans but about preparing our hearts to celebrate the birth of our Savior. It’s a time to pause and focus on His love, grace, and the hope He brings.
James 1:17 reminds us, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” My son is one of those perfect gifts, and so is the Savior whose birth we celebrate. It's also been a gift watching my wife Mrs. Meghan take care of our son with such love and devotion. It has been a beautiful reflection of God’s grace. Her strength, patience, and selflessness inspire me daily, and I’m so thankful for the incredible partner and mother she is.
As we approach Christmas, may our hearts be filled with gratitude—not just for the tangible blessings, but for the gift of Christ, who came to bring us peace, love, and eternal hope.
