Growing up in the church, I always tried to read through the Bible every year—sometimes with friends, using a one-year Bible, or through apps. Last year, I decided to switch things up and challenged myself to listen to the entire Bible through audio. I absolutely LOVED it! Using the dramatic version made it even more engaging, with different voices and sound effects bringing the stories to life. It was a game-changer in how I experienced God’s Word.
This year, a friend encouraged me to read the Bible chronologically, and we’re using The Bible Recap on the Bible app. At first, I was nervous about the accountability—what if I fell behind? But God showed me that accountability is actually a gift! It pushes me to stay consistent, grow deeper in my faith, and share the journey with others. Now, with a group of six friends reading the same chapters daily and sharing our thoughts and prayers, this experience has been such a blessing. I can’t wait to see how God moves in our lives throughout the year!
Hebrews 4:12 reminds us that “the word of God is living and active…” So, I challenge you—read your Bible more this year. Whether that means daily, weekly, or monthly, just take that next step. And if you’re up for it, invite others along. Let God speak to your heart, open your eyes, and draw you deeper into His amazing presence!
